Quoting & Sales Process

Quotes and acceptance of orders requires customers to provide detailed specifications including type of printing, colors, artwork, materials and substrates, dimensions of product, finishing, packaging, fulfillment and shipping requirements as well as data information regarding the type of magnetic stripe, number of tracks, coercivity, type of barcode, starting numbers, etc. This information is entered into PRI's proprietary print management software, which allows PRI to verify the components of the order and assure quality throughout the production process.

Artwork and Design Process

Upon receipt of a customer's artwork the information is inspected to be sure it matches the requirements of the specifications for the job. This includes verifying the images, fonts, and necessary design elements are present for reproduction in the desired format. PRI's Art Department will modify the artwork as necessary; in any event, an electronic proof is required to be approved by the customer prior to proceeding to production.

Print Production

Film, color keys and digital proofs, go through two inspections prior to production. During production the proofs are used to maintain a visual reference to ensure quality. Jobs are inspected continually throughout the printing process to maintain quality.

Print Finishing and Packaging

The same basic procedures of reviewing and adhering to specifications follows for tipping cards to carriers for retail applications, envelope stuffing or other fulfillment options. This applies to shrink-wrapping and other packaging requirements. When a product is inventoried for fulfillment or shipping on demand, a database is maintained to track quantity levels and provide information required to maintain throughput. order and assure quality throughout the production process.

High-Speed Data Encoding

Samples of encoded cards are provided to the customer for testing prior to fully encoding an order. Our variable speed encoders have cameras and view screens to ensure print quality and data accuracy. Physical product checks are also done throughout the encoding process. PRI also houses customer data files in order to maintain data consistency for future orders.

Quality Control

PRI has experienced staff in all stages of production (e.g. sales, art, pre-press, printing, data, cutting, fulfillment and shipping) that are adept at recognizing and resolving problems. In addition, all orders go through a final quality assurance checkpoint before being shipped.

Security

PRI operates in a state-of-the-art secured facility with electronic pass code locks at its main entries as well as 24-hour video surveillance throughout the facility.
