Artwork and Design Process

One of the benefits of working with Plastic Resource is the FREE artwork assistance we offer to make ordering gift cards as easy as possible! If you don't have a designer on staff, or simply don't have the time to design your card yourself, simply send us your logo along with a sense of what you're looking for, and we'd be happy to design your gift card for you!

Magstripe Application

Plastic Resource houses leading-edge technology to ensure the highest quality end-product available in the industry today. Magstripes come in two varieties: high-coercivity and low-coercivity (a.k.a. HiCo and LoCo). High-coercivity magstripes are harder to erase, and therefore are appropriate for cards that are frequently used or that need to have a long life. Selecting which type of mag stripe to use depends on how the card is to be used.

Barcoding Application

Plastic Resource offers both Thermal and DOD (Drop-on-Demand) bar code printing for the following barcodes: Code 39 - Code 3 of 9, Codabar, UPC-A (UPC Version A) and Code 128.

Before encoding your gift or loyalty cards; Plastic Resource will need to know the type of barcode to use in order for your system to read properly. The two most common barcode types for gift cards are 128 and 3 of 9 (39).
